We are expanding the range of UK government representation on the Digital Democracy website to include Members of European Parliament (MEPs), Welsh Assembly Members (WAMs) and Members of Scottish Parliament (MSPs). These will be added within the coming month.

Our aim is to then develop the Digital Democracy website to add local councils in to the system and make Digital Democracy work at the local level and get local communities using this tool to prioritise what happens in their area.

Democratise is into its third week in its new improved form¬† (3 full time members of staff are currently working hard on developing our first project, www.digitaldemocracy.org.uk ) and it’s about time we have a blog to keep you updated on our progress.

Digital Democracy was piloted to great success in Durham earlier this year and our plans to build on that success are well and truly underway.  Taking into account the feedback of its users, the site is being redeveloped from the ground up, letting us integrate a whole load of exciting new features and of course make it look even shinier.

Despite being hard at work building our new website, we’ll try to take the time here to write about what we’re planning, hopefully allowing those of you who are interested to give us some feedback on our ideas.

Check back soon for a preview of our new promo leaflet…
